It’s not difficult to find 20% boll rot in fields now. The success of this crop hinges a lot on a sunny, dry September.
We are treating one farm in Washington county for target spot. This farm was planted towards the end of May due to wet conditions. We’ve been in protection mode all season with this farm in terms of insects. In addition to a fungicide, another application of Endigo and Pix is being applied here. Boll damage is still near 50% . I’m contributing the damage more towards lygus because thats what I was finding the most of. There is currently an active nymph population out there. I’m concerned about how late a fungicide application will make this crop.
